After having Allison as our Doula, I don’t believe there is a better way to go through the birthing experience. We were very fortunate to have had Allison with us for many reasons. From the pregnancy to postnatal times she demonstrated a fabulous attitude and corresponding knowledge of women and birthing. She had a fantastic ability to put my mind at ease whenever I had doubts or questions and went a step further by totally empowering me as a woman, and confirming my ability to have this child. I found Allison to be very professional and at the same time very tender and caring. She also has a great sense of humor which, to me, was very welcomed after more than 10 hours of labour.
I would recommend her services to any woman, or couple, who will be going through the birthing experience. She is very committed and passionate about her work as a doula and it shows.

Our family felt comfortable with Allison for the moment we met. It was great having someone knowledgeable and caring around who we could call on at any time for support. Our son Jace was born one week overdue. That week felt like a year! I seriously believed I was going to be pregnant forever! Allison kept telling me that was humanly impossible to be pregnant forever and reminded me that I would indeed have my baby soon. I’m sure I was the most impatient mother she has ever see! When Jace was finally ready to be born he wanted out right now! Thank goodness Allison arrived at our home in time to realize we needed to get going to the hospital NOW! Otherwise he would have been born in my husband’s new truck. We are all very happy that Allison was a part of this special time with us. Thanks Allison

Allison provided my husband and I all the confidence and comfort we could ask for during labour and delivery. She has the perfect personality for her work, professional, relaxed, warm and caring. She is truly a gift to all pregnant woman who choose to hire her as she provides the advice and support that every woman deserves. We were so thankful to have Allison by our sides, I can’t imagine having delivered without her.

The fear of my first daughter’s birth was terrible! And it was during a time when the hospital anesthesiologists were not available. So that blew my only coping strategies for the pain!
So then for my next baby I heard about the next best thing to an epidural – a doula! Allison talked with me and encouraged me during my pregnancy until the day that I felt comfortable with the idea of giving birth. The very next day I went into labour! She was instrumental in helping us develop our birth wishes and to give us information on what our options were.
For the birth of this baby I knew the benefits and insisted on having a doula! I knew what I was getting into, and this time I KNEW that I wanted the comfort of an experienced doula by my side. We were not disappointed in Allison. I was afraid that a doula would talk us out of all the pain medicine that I wanted. Allison assured us that she would help us have the birth experience that we were hoping for and would never judge us on our choices of pain management.
I thank God for Allison because she nearly had to catch our baby. No one could have predicted that this labour would only last two hour! Because of Allison’s experience we got to the hospital on time. And although I wasn’t in time for the pain medication I thought I had wanted, I had Allison to help me cope. She was steady, comforting and confident. I hope I get to have more children and that Allison will be able to be a part of our big day again!
